Analog Synth
question about synthesizers...please help?
I have some virtual synths or soft synths but I don't know what to do to make the sounds I want.I don't even know if I am playing with the appropriate ones.I want to make crazy sounds like trent reznor from nine inch nails and other industrial bands...i tweak and play with oscillator but it's like if I am not doing anything at all cos I can't get the sounds I want.
which synths are appropriate for these type of sounds?analog or what's the other called?
please explain
This just takes time to figure out. When you get a new synthesizer, whether it's software or hardware, you need to take time to familiarize yourself. Once you do, you'll be able to adjust a control and already know how it will affect the sound.
I couldn't point out a particular synthesizer to get because no single synthesizer is right for "that" sound. Trent Reznor (as well as any industrial band) has used a wide variety of synthesizers, each with different capabilities, whether it's a classic analog, a digital, or some sort of hybrid. Just have patience, and you'll eventually be able to get the sounds you want.
