Guitar value? 1943 L7 Archtop acoustic guitar?
I have a 1943 Gibson L7 archtop acoustic guitar and I was wondering if anyone may be able to help me place a value to it?
Depending on the condition, I'd say $2500-$4000 US./ The 'Musicfarm' VG Cond '48 L-7 for six grand seems kind of steep./ Currently at Chicago Music Exchange, they have a 1944 Ex Cond. Gibson L-7 for $3000. (also demo of it on You Tube called "44 L-7 for sale")./ Very reputable for buying and selling Vintage is Elderly Instruments (Used Guitar Dept.). They currently have a '47 L-7 in Ex. cond. for $3200./ My advise would be to get a written appraisal ($50 at Gruhn Guitars), insure and keep it.
