My violin pegs (not fine tuners) won't stay in place?
Whenever I tune my violin, my pegs will not stay in place. I'm able to move and get one in tune, but when I start on the others it comes out. It's really frustrating, and it takes me over thirty minutes to tune sometimes because of fiddly pegs. What do I need to do?
I heard that rosin makes the pegs totally stick.
take the peg out and rosin it just like your bow .... it will stick unless there is a problem with the peg not going into the opposite hole far enough to get a grip .. DO NOT USE PEG DOPE .... it will make them slippery
