How long does it take you to learn a fingerstyle song on guitar?
I can only play 4 fingerstyle songs in 2 months, my progress sucks with fingerstyle.
Why not check if oyu have the correct finger-style pickin technique. There are good sites on the web which can help you master the technique. It takes a strong sense of independence. I play classic and electric and what helped me over the years, is the classical technique. I combined the pick and the remaining fingers to pluck chords and use the fingers in an alternate-picking fashion with the thumb. Just remember that some of these players like Chet Atkins and others have been at it for years. Don't expect to master this technique in months. It will take a good 2 years to really start getting in the groove.
