Fake electric heater wood stove. Flame doesn't work?
We bought one of those electric wood stoves at a garage sale. The kind that is supposed to look like a real fire. It works as a heater, but the flame part doesnt work. Any ideas on how to fix it, or what might be wrong? It has two switches on the back. One that turns it on, and the other turns the fan on. Then there is a round knob that turns to turn up and down the temp. We just want the flame to work. I don't know if it takes a light bulb or what it does. Since it was at a garage sale, of course it didn't come with a manual.
The only ones I have ever seen take a light bulb. More than likely this is your only problem. Now you have to figure out how to get in there and replace it. Make sure you replace it with the same type that you remove from it. Good luck...
