How will music theory help me in understanding music ?
I know my music theory quiet well I just don't know when to use it - I know my major scales minor , melodic and harmonic.... when will I ever use them , and also what is the proper way to to use intervals ?
This is kind of confusing me I just need advice I fell like giving up .
Knowing music theory will help you develop your own music and improvise with other musicians. For example, if someone is playing chords in the key of A major, you can easily improvise by playing the notes in the A major scale. The same goes for any key.
