How do you create a program that picks a number/numbers from a set of given numbers?
I'd like to know how to design a program with C language which can pick a number from a group of numbers.
E.g.
A program that could pick 6 numbers from the numbers 1 to 55.
How does the coding go?

And I suppose there can't be any duplicates? Lottery number generator right?
I suggest you learn visual basic first, it's relatively simple but will introduce you to the concept of object oriented programming.
As far as your program, generate a random number, the (rand) function in Excel is a good one to learn from, use the (round) function to make whole numbers, filter the results with "if, then," to check for duplicates and numbers outside the range,and a loop to set the number of times to run the generator.
