Is the Yamaha YFL 211 flute nickel silver plated or is it sliver plated?
I like the lighter silver looking flutes rather than the dark nickel metal colour flutes.
Is the Yamaha 211 a dark nickel metal colour or is it a light silver plated colour?
I came across a 2nd hand Yamaha YFL 211 (only 6 months old) for £295. Is this a good deal? Will it be silver plated or will it be nickel silver?

The model Yamaha YFL-211 Flute is made for the Japanese market. This flute is made of durable nickel silver with an attractive silver-plate finish. It features the same high-grade design and craftsmanship as the 300 and 400 series models, and has excellent response. The remarkable Yamaha Scale provides extremely accurate and centered intonation. It has an offset G plateau system, covered keys, and split E mechanism. New, this flute sells for more than $800. A cheap instrument is harder to play and will discourage practicing. THIS IS A PERFECT MID-LEVEL FLUTE FOR A STUDENT OR A SEASONED PROFESSIONAL!
I am not up on the exchange rate but new it would cost US $800. Found one here in US for $375 - less than 1/2 price and it was fairly new as well. I think the price is a little high -- should be about £230 so make an offer ... it can't hurt - dicker a little.
