Tuning stability on a PRS SE Singlecut: Tremolo vs. stopbar?
I am looking to buy a PRS SE Singlecut, but am unsure whether to get the tremolo version, or the stopbar version. Here's a link:

Now, my first guitar that I am using now is a Squier Strat, and based on the tuning stability with the tremolo I am not impressed, and led to believe the tremolo version of this PRS will fall out of tune easier than the stopbar version.
But, with a very high quality brand like PRS, will the tuning stability be relatively the same on both versions, because I would assume overall the PRS stays in tune much better than the Squier.

Non-Tremolo guitars will always have better stability, but the Squier Strat is not the best type of tremolo system either.
I've played Strats for over 30 years with a vintage tremolo. You can improve the vintage type trem by adding 2 more tremolo springs to the tremolo anchor in the backside of the guitar. And making sure the bridge mounting screws are adjusted to factory tremolo specs. Recommended settings are for the two outside screws to be "flush" when the bridge is lying flat to the body, and the 4 inner screws to be raised 1/16' above the bridge plate. when tuned the rear of th ebridge should float 1/8" above the body. If not then the acnhor need to be moved back or forward by turning the two large body bolts that anchor the tremolo springs in the body.
Newer systems on Ibanez, PRS etc, usually involve a "locking" tremelo system which keeps the guitar in tune much better.
I Love tremolo systems and always feel my guitar is missing something if the trem is not available for use.
also the WAY you use the trem will affect how badly a guitar might go out of tune. If all you do is Dive bomb it then you will have more problems. if you use the trems for less severe up and down tremolo action then tuning problems lessen.
Locking Trems are designed to handle the dive bomb technique much better than the old vintage Strat tremolo system.
Personally, I'd get a PRS with a trem. If you don't use it at all, your tuning won't have a problem. but if you need a trem, it's nice to have and the system should handle it fairly well.
