How do I adjust a leather guitar strap?
The leather won't allow me to move the adjuster up or down the strap.I would like to find an easy way to be able to adjust the strap without damaging the leather.
Hold the strap so that the buckle forms the top part of a "T". Push the end you want shorter upwards till the amount you want shortened is right. Then pull that loop down the other side. Don't try to slide the buckle, slide the leather. A little dry soap rubbed on the top of the leather might help and can be wiped off when you're done.
