Can someone PLEASE clear this up...things you CAN and CAN NOT send to someone in the military...?
I am aware of the things you can send...the basic things like dried food, powedered juice mix, canned food, tissues, wipes, chap stick...etc. BUT I have seen soo many different web pages of things you can not send, and it is starting to get confusing! Things that I have read that you are not allowed to send are beef and pork products, like jerky/slim jims. No aerosol containers like:hair spray, fabreeze, shaving cream, canned 'air', silly string...NO soap- I am assuming liquid soap?
What about med's? Like a bottle of (non gel) advil or something?
Alot depends on where your military member is currently deployed to. Many different countries have different rules/regulations on what can be sent. You should never send anything that is pressurized as it can explode when being air transported. A great sight for information is

They have a place you can enter your military members APO/FPO to get a more detailed list of what is/isn't allowed. If all else fails, contact your local post office or have your military member get a list of what is acceptable from his command leader.
