What is a good trombone mouthpiece for a King with a .525 bell?
i just bought a new trombone. It's a king 608fsp. I just need to know if it plays a standard 6 1/2al mouthpiece.
As long as the mouthpiece will fit, you can play a 6 1/2 AL. More likely than not you won't have nay problem with this. Where you have the potential to run into trouble is when you are getting into playing larger bore horns (i.e.- bass trombones). With those you'll have a heavier mouthpiece shank, and in turn the receiver for the mouthpiece will be bigger.
