Is the wood underneath my drum wrap too soft to withstand punishment?
I want to paint my old drum set but I am afraid that it can't hold up to any punishment whatsoever. Is the wood too soft and is there something I can do to make it tougher or should I just prime, paint, and clear coat it?
Often tere is no way of telling until you get the wrap off. If the wood is not good enough to paint, you can always recover them. There are some great looking wraps out there as seen in the following link.
